Introducing Etienne, Engineering in the USA

1️⃣ My Background

I’m 25 years old, originally from Lyon and raised in Burgundy, and currently working as a Production Engineer at DIVSYS, the company-owned factory in Indianapolis, USA. I discovered ICAPE Group during my engineering internship in 2024 and quickly knew the industrial sector was where I wanted to build my career.

2️⃣ How It All Started

I joined ICAPE as a fourth-year engineering intern at CIPEM IHM, another factory owned and operated by ICAPE Group in France, where I launched a Lean strategy to improve production performance. What began as an internship became a real opportunity thanks to supportive teams, technical challenges, and strong growth potential.

3️⃣ Growing My Skills
Understanding processes and industrial methods was key to my development. I learned a great deal from experienced colleagues and from collaborating with international teams, which helped me grow both professionally and personally.

4️⃣ What I Do Today

Today, I focus on optimizing and managing production through decision-making tools that improve visibility on flows, performance, and operational constraints. My goal is to make processes more reliable and support smarter decisions on the shop floor.

5️⃣ My Journey

My path within ICAPE Group has taken me from Annecy (CIPEM IHM) to Malmö (ICAPE MMAB, ICAPE Group’s PCB factory in Sweden) and now to Indianapolis (Divsys). I’m grateful for the trust and responsibility given to me, and I value the cultural exchanges that come with working internationally.

6️⃣ Looking Ahead

I hope to continue growing within the group, take on ambitious projects, and expand my international experience, including visiting ICAPE TRAX in South Africa. My advice to young talent: stay curious, seize opportunities, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone.

Introducing Margot, Purchasing in China

1️⃣ My Background

My name is Margot, I’m from La Rochelle in the southwest of France, and I’m currently based in southern China as a Sourcing Specialist. I joined ICAPE Group in September 2025. Outside of work, I love photography, planning future trips, and discovering new teas, which fits perfectly with life in China.

2️⃣ How It All Started

I joined ICAPE Group through because I was looking for a professional opportunity in Asia that would challenge me, strengthen my international experience, and improve my Chinese. ICAPE stood out immediately for its global environment, strong growth, and real responsibility from day one.

3️⃣ Growing My Skills

Since I didn’t come from this industry, I had to learn production processes and technical knowledge from scratch. Visiting factories, asking questions, and learning directly in the field has been the best way to grow. My colleagues across departments have also played a huge role in accelerating my development.

4️⃣ What I Do Today

As a Sourcing Specialist, my days alternate between office research, identifying new suppliers, analysing markets, coordinating with partners, and business trips across Asia, like my recent factory visits in Taiwan. What I enjoy most is the variety. Every day is different, dynamic, and full of intercultural learning.

5️⃣ My Journey

What surprised me most is the fast pace and level of responsibility given to me so quickly. I would describe ICAPE’s culture as international, dynamic, and growth-oriented, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Ideas are heard, decisions move fast, and young talent is encouraged to take ownership.

6️⃣ Looking Ahead

I see myself continuing to grow within ICAPE Group in Asia, strengthening my sourcing expertise and leading meetings and factory visits fully in Chinese. My advice to young talent: take the opportunity to work abroad if you can. It’s an incredible way to grow both professionally and personally.

Introducing Fiona, Chem Process Engineer in Sweden

1️⃣ My Background

I’m Fiona, originally from the south of Paris, and I’m currently in my second year at the ICAPE-MMAB factory in Sweden, where I work as a Chemical Process Engineer. Outside of work, I enjoy discovering the Swedish lifestyle, travelling around the country, and spending time with friends. Moving abroad has really pushed me outside of my comfort zone in a positive way.

2️⃣ How It All Started

I joined ICAPE Group in September 2024 as a Chemical Process Engineer in Sweden. What attracted me was the opportunity to work in an industrial environment that combines both production and laboratory activities. I’ve always wanted to understand how things truly work in practice, and being close to production has always felt essential to me as an engineer.

3️⃣ Growing My Skills

At the beginning, I had to adapt to many changes: a new country, sometimes working in Swedish, and learning the full PCB manufacturing process. I spent time in production with operators to understand each step first-hand. Discussions with colleagues, collaboration with suppliers, and even visiting the ICAPE TRAX PCB factory in South Africa all contributed to my growth. It helped me better structure and monitor processes.

4️⃣ What I Do Today

As a Chemical Process Engineer, I focus on monitoring, optimizing, and improving chemical processes in PCB manufacturing. My days are divided between the laboratory and improvement projects in the factory. I really appreciate the variety and the opportunity to work closely with operators. Seeing measurable quality improvements is very rewarding. I also didn’t expect to develop my communication and leadership skills as much as I have.

5️⃣ My Journey

Over time, I’ve taken on more responsibility and become more autonomous in managing projects. What surprised me most is how much I’ve grown technically and personally in such a short time. I would describe ICAPE’s culture as dynamic, multicultural, and collaborative, with strong technical expertise and a real willingness to share knowledge.

6️⃣ Looking Ahead

I see myself continuing at ICAPE MMAB to deepen my expertise in chemical processes and industrial optimization, and to take on more complex challenges. My advice to young talent: be curious, spend time in the factory to truly understand the processes, and don’t hesitate to ask questions or propose ideas.
