Questo cavo \u00e8 un cavo coassiale. Invece di un cavo coassiale, l&#8217;antenna pu\u00f2 essere collegata al dispositivo con un cavo formato da due fili rotondi distanziati da una striscia di plastica piatta. Come per il cavo coassiale, le dimensioni e i materiali di questo filo sono controllati con attenzione per ottenere la corretta impedenza L&#8217;impedenza si misura in Ohm, ma non deve essere confusa con la resistenza, anch&#8217;essa misurata in Ohm. La resistenza \u00e8 per la corrente continua (CC), mentre l&#8217;impedenza \u00e8 una corrente alternata (CA) che diventa importante con l&#8217;aumentare della frequenza del segnale, diventando critica per le tracce dei circuiti stampati con componenti di segnale pari o superiori a 200 MHz. La funzione di un filo o di una traccia \u00e8 quella di trasferire l&#8217;intensit\u00e0 del segnale da un dispositivo all&#8217;altro. Per le radiofrequenze (RF), il trasferimento della massima potenza del segnale dall&#8217;antenna ai cavi richiede che l&#8217;impedenza del cavo corrisponda all&#8217;impedenza dell&#8217;antenna. Inoltre, l&#8217;impedenza del televisore deve corrispondere a quella del cavo.<\/p>\n<p>Anche se dobbiamo concentrarci sulle interconnessioni dei fili, le stesse considerazioni valgono per il trasferimento dei segnali attraverso le tracce su un PCB. Fino al 1997, solo i dispositivi esotici ad alta velocit\u00e0 di allora richiedevano circuiti stampati con impedenza controllata. Si trattava di circa il 20% dei PCB prodotti.<\/p>\n<p>Nel 2000, circa l&#8217;80% di tutti i PCB multistrato sono stati prodotti con tracce a impedenza controllata. Si tratta di PCB per tutti i tipi di tecnologie, tra cui:<br \/>&#8211; Telecomunicazioni<br \/>&#8211; Elaborazione del segnale video<br \/>&#8211; Elaborazione digitale ad alta velocit\u00e0<br \/>&#8211; Elaborazione grafica reale<br \/>&#8211; Controllo del processo<\/p>\n<p>Oggi, la maggior parte delle case dispone di un gran numero di applicazioni a basso costo di queste tecnologie, ad esempio:<br \/>&#8211;
